My Stuff – Integrity

Privacy policy

Effective date: 2025-09-01

Overview

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how My Stuff collects, stores, and uses information when you use our app to manage your personal belongings.

Data Storage

All item records—including brand, model, serial number, color, purchase details, and warranty information—are stored locally on your device in a secure database.

To ensure data backup and enable seamless transfer between devices, your inventory is also synced to Firebase, a secure cloud service provided by Google. This allows you to restore your data if you switch devices or reinstall the app.

Attachments

You may choose to attach images or PDF files (such as receipts) to your item records. These attachments are stored locally and synced to Firebase for backup purposes. We do not access or analyze the content of these files.

Telemetry and Analytics

We collect anonymous telemetry data to help us understand app usage and improve performance. This may include:

  • Device type and operating system
  • App version
  • Feature usage statistics
  • Crash reports

No personal information (such as your name, email, or item content) is collected or transmitted through telemetry.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data both locally and in the cloud. Firebase uses industry-standard encryption and security protocols. However, we recommend using device-level security (e.g., passcodes or biometric locks) to further protect your information.

Your Control

You retain full control over your data. You can:

  • View and edit your inventory at any time
  • Delete items or attachments
  • Remove the app to erase local data
  • Contact us to request deletion of synced data from Firebase (if applicable)

Data Deletion

You have the right to permanently delete your data at any time:

Local Data: To delete data stored on your device, simply uninstall the app. This will remove all locally stored inventory records and attachments from your device.

Cloud Data: To delete your data synced to Firebase, please contact us via the Kontakt page with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” and include your account identifier or the email address associated with your app account (if applicable). We will process your request and permanently delete all your synced data, including item records and attachments, within 30 days. You will receive confirmation once the deletion is complete.

Please note that once your cloud data is deleted, it cannot be recovered. If you reinstall the app or use it on another device after deletion, you will start with an empty inventory.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app or on our website. Continued use of the app after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
